Privacy policy
The Gaelic Sports Federation of France takes the protection of your personal data seriously and is committed to processing it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés).
Data controller
Gaelic Sports Federation of France (Fédération des Sports Gaéliques) — fffgaelique@gmail.com.
What data do we collect, and why?
- Contact form: name, email address and message, used only to reply to your enquiry. This information is never passed on or sold.
- Requests for a taster session, a school introduction or a training course: name, email address, phone number (optional) and any details you choose to give. With your agreement, they are passed to the club concerned or to the Federation to deal with your request.
- Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe and confirm your subscription by email. Every message contains an unsubscribe link.
- Browsing: the server records standard technical data (IP address, date, pages viewed) for security and to keep the site running properly.
Third-party services
- Clubs map: the base map is provided by OpenStreetMap; your IP address is passed to that service when the map is displayed.
- Videos: YouTube videos are embedded in “cookie-free” mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Facebook feed: the feed from the Federation’s Facebook page (News page) only loads with your consent; Facebook may then receive data about your visit.
- Documents: some documents are hosted on Google Drive; viewing them is subject to that service’s terms.
- Social media: links to Facebook or X lead to sites that have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This site uses no advertising cookies and no audience-measurement tools. A single technical cookie, ffsg_consent, remembers your choice about external content; it is kept for 6 months. Content from third-party services (the OpenStreetMap base map, YouTube videos, the Facebook feed) only loads with your consent. You can change your choice at any time using the button below or the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of the page.
Retention period
Messages and requests received through the forms are kept for as long as is needed to deal with them and are deleted automatically after 90 days. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your data. To exercise these rights, write to fffgaelique@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
